ACI is New Mexico’s statewide business advocate.

We work to promote commonsense, pro-business policies that will grow our economy and create better opportunities for all New Mexicans.

We are a 100% member-driven organization, which means that all of our policy positions come straight from New Mexico businesses.  As a member of ACI, we help your business engage the policy process, keep up with the latest news and developments, and have a say in crafting the policies and laws that affect you every day.

We support your business through our extensive government and public relations experience and strong reputation with lawmakers.  Our record speaks for itself: During the last legislative session, we helped 16 pro-business proposal become law, and we successfully blocked 100% of the job-killing proposals opposed by our members--saving New Mexico businesses over $152 million in new taxes.

We want you to join us in our fight to strengthen New Mexico’s economy.  ACI membership is one of the best investments you can make—not only in your business, but in our state.

What Businesses Are Saying

“In these days of political change, unrest, and indecision in our New Mexico State Legislature, businesses owners and managers need professional representation when decisions are made that affect us. We could have no better business representative than the Association of Commerce and Industry.”

-JR Allison, New Mexico State Manager, OLD REPUBLIC TITLE INSURANCE COMPANY

“ACI gives me invaluable tools to monitor and impact the regulations that affect me, and puts me in contact with some of the key business leaders and innovators in the state, so that I can grow my business while helping to grow New Mexico’s future.”

-Shelly Herbst, President and CEO, Marron & Associates and SBDC Small Business Person of the Year

"The Association of Commerce and Industry has led many successful endeavors at the state level of government on legislation important to the business community. Among the primary reasons for our continued involvement in ACI is the constant effort they put forth to keep us involved and informed, as well as their dedication to developing and advocating for policies to benefit their members. In a smaller state like New Mexico, it is critically important to have an avenue in which businesses across all industries can share ideas and have a voice, and ACI ensures that platform exists."

-Janice Torrez, Divisional VP, External Affairs & Chief of Staff, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico

“ACI policies, issues and decisions are derived from the membership, from the bottom up. Every member can participate in the committee process of making decisions for ACI.  ACI covers the general business issues which our industry associations do not have time or resources to tackle.  ACI makes sure business has a voice on a broad spectrum of issues--medical care, taxes, insurance issues, and more.”

-Dan Girand, Mack Energy, ACI Board Chair, 2014-2015

“I recently approached ACI regarding some ideas I have to improve the state procurement process and help New Mexico businesses grow jobs.  Within weeks, ACI had sent letters to state agencies on the issue, and gave me the opportunity to testify in front of an interim committee meeting of the state legislature.  The NM Association of Commerce and Industry does an exceptional job of advocating for New Mexico businesses and they work very hard on our behalf.”

-Anthony D. Trujillo, President & CEO, Holman’s USA, LLC
